The lighting and contrast are excellent, however the exit sign from the background looks like it's coming out of the subject's head and throws off the composition a bit.

This picture is pretty intense. I see the exit sign thing now, but I wouldn't have noticed it if someone else hadn't said it first. It seems quite a bit different than the stuff you usually submit, but I still like it. There's such a strong tension between the light and shadow, and I think that is what makes the picture so striking. The woman's pose combined with the long shadow seem to tell such a story in themselves. I don't know if you were aiming for any specific concept, but I can definitely see one. Very dramatic, more than just a pretty picture.
