On our frontpage, someone felt the need to tell us that we're what's wrong with DA, with our photo concepts being mediocre and with us featuring "angry-looking/depressed girls". :D I personally don't remember meeting a single model that we've worked with who looked grumpy or like they wanted to off themselves, heh. Infact, all of our models are very female-empowered. But if you feel the way this person does, tell us about it. Sent us a nice long note, seriously. We got a nice laugh this morning. ;) I thought our fans might think it was funny is why I'm mentioning it, so don't go defend us or start a conversation about it or anything, it isn't necessary.
We'll probably post another photo before Christmas, but if not, happy holidays from Winter and Wolf. :)

I like the way your model looks like she has the sun in the palm of her hand.. very empowering.

I agree, your models really do give a stronger image to women. Don't take crap from those people, they're just jealous of your artistic talent.

I wouldn't say the models look like they want to off themselves.. but I'm going to pick on "Spark", "Woodwinds", "Sleeping with Devils", "Sinless", "Carrier." and "Lyrical Escapes" as examples of what I'm about to say.

Photographically they're really attractive pieces. Good colors and in all the model carries a strong emotion...

...but it's quite a neutral emotion. It's piercing but in each it looks very similar.

If that emotion is what you like to specialise in then power to you. But variety is apparently the spice of life so how about a smile, a scream or something else playful?

In closing, please don't take this as an attack on your work... some people on DA can take any negativity that way. It's more meant as "you asked, I'm answering". Keep up the excellent work whatever you decide to do.

(And to comment on this image, fantastic colors and a nice unique pose from the model - well done.)

Three of the five photos you picked are from the same shoot, so they have the same feel. :) Of course there will be some overlap. Not every piece will be emotionally brilliant. We have screams, smiles, and a bunch of other expressions throughout our gallery. For example, go look at "Bad day".

Anyway, I know this isn't an attack, don't worry. I do agree that some of our photos will have a bit of a similarity, simply because not everything we post is supposed to be emotional really anyway -- some are just supposed to be visually appealing.
