with 1/664 there is enough ligh for at least f/4.0 or even higher for a more crispy image.

Oh, well yes, but why would we want to shoot f/4? We like f/2.2 and around there. f/4 isn't necessary for this.

Because the image get's sharper with a higher f number, and as there is anyway no directly viewable dof, there is no need of a lower one as far there is enough light.

Heh, um, just so you know, we know how cameras work. :) The image is perfectly sharp, there was no need to mess we the aperture, and we had in low for the other images of the series.

With seeing your photos I did not question that, but I also don't see anything bad in doing it as there is no disadvantage. But as far we favor both our positions, it's okay.
