-WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO NOT ACCEPT YOUR SUBMISSION IF WE FEEL IT VIOLATES THE RULES AS SET FORTH
- All submissions must be a traditional artform (vector, painting, digital painting, drawing) based off one of our photos. NO PHOTO MANIPULATIONS will be accepted.
- You may submit as many entries as you'd like.
- Creativity is encouraged... your traditional art piece does not have to be a direct replication of a photo of ours, you may make changes if you'd like (such as changing colors, backgrounds, etc), but we'd like all submissions to be recognizable as being inspired by one of our works. Or, you may make it as dead-on accurate as you'd like.
- You may base your entry off any photo off our Girltripped page, our
Myspace Page, or our webpage. (
[link] ) . Or, if you'd like to be even more creative, you may combine elements of multiple photos of ours into one piece.
- Credit in the form of a link to our page
girltripped.deviantart.com must be made in the description of the post. Also please include the words CONTEST ENTRY in the title of the work.
- Please send us a note with the link to the deviation, so that we can favorite your entry and put it with the other entries.
- This contest is open internationally, not just to those in the U.S.
- Our Suggestion - We know some of our photos have a lot less detail than others, but last year we did receive a whole lot of head-shot entries, so we're hoping this year that we get a little more variety in the choices.

Some choices we'd say have been done a lot more often than others as of right now would be La Masquerade, Snowball, and The Welcome Parade.
The Timeframe -
Everyone has a little more than a day left to submit your photos. The contest closes April 10 at 9 pm, and we'll bring in a couple of non-partial judges at that point, and announce the winners on April 14.
The Prizes :
This year, the prizes will be a bit different. The first place winner will receive any photo off our Deviantart page in a 20x30, 24x36, or biggest size we have available in the finish of your choice. You do not need to draw the photo you wish to receive as a prize this year, you can draw any. We'll get it shipped to ourselves, both sign it, and ship it out to the winner, at about a $100 value. Second place will receive a 10x15 or equivalent signed print from our gallery, and third place will receive an 8x10 or an 8x12 of any photo in our gallery of their choice, shipped to us first to be signed by the both of us.
In addition to these fine prizes

has been kind enogh to donate a 1 year subscription to each winner or a member of the winner's choice if they already have a subscription. Thanks again to

.
Why this contest? :
We both love traditional art, and if we had an ounce of talent we'd be producing it ourselves. By holding this contest, we're looking to find some great new talented traditional artists, give them a little bit of attention, and have some cool stuff to look forward to. The reason the traditional art has to be off our photos is that (besides the fact we obviously love our photos and have pride) it makes the judging a bit easier for us, we know how much detail is in our photos, and we'll recognize creativity this way, along with the fact that it's just plain cool to us.

Last year we had all sorts of amazing entries, and our winner,

, did a fantastic rendition of one of our photos.

I had started a sketch of "Wild Cherry" for the contest last time, but unfortunately school and work got in the way. I still have it somewhere...time to take it out and finish it!
